Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how to add and use a custom font in Squarespace.

Whether you are:

Creating a Squarespace site for clients, and you need to transfer the account to a new owner.

OR

You want to consolidate all your Squarespace accounts into one primary account.

You can do so by transferring site ownership following this tutorial.

Transferring site ownership on Squarespace is a two-step process:

  1. The new owner must be an existing contributor or admin on the site. So you need to invite them prior to transferring the site.
  2. Then, you can transfer site to the new owner via the Squarespace permission settings dashboard.

Let's dive right in.

Note: If the new owner is already a contributor to the site, you can jump to the site transfer section of the tutorial.

Invite the new owner as a contributor to the site

Sign in to your Squarespace account and head to your website.

Once logged in, select the new owner account from the drop-down menu and click Continue.

You should see the new owner labeled on the Permission Settings page.

What's next after transferring site ownership?

Here's a checklist for the new site owner after completing the site transfer:

  1. Make sure to update the billing credit card information. Otherwise, Squarespace will continue billing the previous owner's credit card.
  2. Update the contact information on the site.
  3. Review existing subscriptions, such as Member Areas, Appointment Scheduling, Email Campaigns, etc, and whether the new owner wishes to continue these subscriptions.
  4. Update the Google Analytics account that's connected to the site.
  5. Update the email sign-up form that's connected to the site.
  6. Update all social media account info.
  7. (Optional) Remove the previous owner's access to the site.
